DESCRIPTION:November 27-28\, 2021 \nThis is the 2nd half of the Advanced Upper Extremity Program.  \nThe first half is NOT required to register for this course. \nInstructor: Dr. Bahram Jam; PT\, FCAMT \n\nMember of the International Federation of Manipulative Therapists\nCredentialed with The McKenzie Institute International\n\n  \nCOURSE OBJECTIVES \nUpon completion of this 2-day program\, the physical therapist will be confident in applying evidence-based clinical assessment & management skills for  various common acute\, sub-acute or persistent elbow\, wrist & hand pain syndromes. \n(E.g. lateral epicondylalgia\, post Colle’s fracture\, carpal tunnel syndrome\, carpal instabilities\, MCP OA\, etc. ) \nUpon determining the diagnosis\, classification and the potential contributing factors\, physical therapists will be able to administer the most effective treatment / management options including specific exercise / movement prescription\, manual therapies\, neural mobilizations and taping. \nCRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE \n\nThis program is restricted to Registered Physical or Occupational Therapists who are licensed to practice in Canada or internationally\, or students awaiting licensing.\nThere are NO prerequisites for this program\nThe Advanced Upper Extremity (Part I) is not required for the (Part II) of this program that focuses on Elbow & Wrist Complex\n\nGENERAL COURSE INFORMATION \nALL COVID-19 SAFETY precautions will be followed based on the current provincial recommendations \n\nPlease bring your OWN mask\nYou may bring your own lunch\, sandwich and snacks as due to safety factors we cannot serve food or even water\nWe will have hand washing stations and sanitizers as required\n\n\nCourse material is referenced from up to date research articles\nAn easy to understand practical workbook is provided\nAll instructions are provided in a clear and concise manner in order to ensure an effective and enjoyable learning experience\nNote: This is primarily a practical course but you will practice on only ONE partner\, while wearing a mask\n\n  \nTax Receipts provided on course date / $30.00 is non-refundable / No refunds for cancellations 2 weeks or less before course date  \n…HOWEVER full refund or credit will be provided if you are unable to attend due to a health concern e.g. COVID symptoms \n
