Reliable & Validated Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT)

In the past decade a number of studies have investigated the Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT). Researchers and clinicians have suggested that the SEBT can be used to reliably measure dynamic postural-control and help predict the risk of lower extremity injuries.

The systematic review concludes, “The SEBT has been shown to be a reliable measure and has validity as a dynamic test to predict risk of lower extremity injury.”
