There had never been really good evidence to support that diet had any effects on the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis?until this study!
This article concluded that diet loaded with cooked vegetables and olive oil helps reduce the pain, swelling and discomfort from rheumatoid arthritis.
Clinical Relevance: Realizing that professional dietary recommendations are not within the Physical Therapy scope of practice, it seems reasonable for us to educate patients who suffer from RA, of the results of this study.
