This is an amazing taping technique that gives immediate pain relief to those with suprascapular pain related to neural sensitivity or nerve root irritations.

Ask the patient to slightly elevate the scapula and then apply the Hypafix & Leukotape from laterally to medially. Ensure that you make “skin wrinkles” under the Leukotape, as this is referred to as tissue unloading.

If the tape does not provide immediate relief, TAKE IT OFF! Either it has not been applied properly, or the patient is not appropriate for taping!
