ABOUT THIS 1/2 DAY COURSE
Physios are well versed in providing single joint, zero plane (isometric) or single plane exercises to start strengthening.
Where I believe our profession lags is in our ability to translate basic strengthening principles and applying them to training simple complex movements (i.e. 2 planes of movement e.g. squat), complex movements (i.e. 3 planes e.g. throwing, jumping, running) and eventually movement patterns that our patients want to resume with confidence (i.e. from ADLs to leisure to artistic routines to sport specific skills & techniques).
Join us for an interactive ½ day to learn: To identify faulty movement patterns which predispose to acute injury and underlie repetitive strain injuries in the lower limb and spine and restore length-tension balance, to eliminate pain and restore high quality movement.
This course wil focus on Olympic Lifting Technique [starting with the squat and hinge movements] for the purpose of assessing multi joint and multi-planar movement in the prehab and rehab of pain-free powerful and balanced full body ROM.
We will squat & hinge our way to some good fun!
