Close your eyes and see/visualize the outline of your body.
Visualize each finger, your hands, elbows shoulder, trunk and your legs in as much detail as possible. Do this for 5 minutes or 45 minutes.
Without sitting on top of the Himalayan Mountains, you just did a Body Scan meditation.
Body image has been shown to be disrupted in people with various pain disorders from CRPS to chronic LBP…but it can be fixed thanks to neuroplasticity!
I strongly urge you go to Youtube and search for “Jon Kabat-Zinn – Body Scan Meditation” to try a 45 minute body scan.
