DNF Muscles?the stabilizer of the neck!!

An MRI study and an anatomical study have concluded that the Deep Neck Flexors (DNF) are important for segmental and spinal support as they have a tonic action and not involved in torque production (Mayoux-Benhamou et al 1994)

Research has shown large differences in MVA patients versus asymptomatic individuals with regards to DNF activation and control. DNF rehabilitation has been demonstrated to be effective in the management of neck pain and headaches.
