Experience Worsens Spinal Palpation?
This chiropractic study surprised many when it showed that high expertise was actually associated withlower intra-examiner agreement scores than low expertise. This finding contradicts the common assumption that experienced manual therapists have ?better? motion palpation.
Perhaps it is because ?experienced? manual therapists are more ?anal? / picky about looking for minuscule things, while novice clinicians look only for the obvious!
Mmmm…something to think about!
