Pelvic Floor (PF) Muscles...a little focus Down Under

Tranversus Abdominis (TrA) forms a ‘cylinder’ , the diaphragm forms the roof, and adequate PF tone is essential for the floor of this ‘cylinder’

Preliminary studies have demonstrated that PF muscles lose their timing and control in low back pain and SI patients… just like the TrA!

TrA and PF muscles have been shown on fine wire EMG studies to work synergistically together and most efficiently while maintaining an anterior pelvic tilt posture in sitting…(more reason to sit up straight!)
