Self-Mob for the CT Junction

Reference:null

I teach the following self-mob on any patient with the classic sign of increased CT junction flexion, especially when they have ulnar nerve symptoms

  • Horizontally place a firm small towel roll at approx. the T3 level
  • Strongly retract the neck into the towel and simultaneously push the feet down into the floor as if attempting to lift the butt off the chair
  • Hold for 5 seconds, repeat 5-10 times, twice/dayThis exercise must be completely pain-free.
