Whiplash...What MDs & Insurance Companies Need to Know!
This excellent 2004 German study looked at the rate of recovery for patients with acute whiplash injury. They compared those treated with just a collar (no PT) with those treated immediately after the accident with PT. A total of 97 patients were randomly assigned to just a collar therapy group, and 103 to an exercise group, treated by a physiotherapist.
